Great Kit for not just quakes...

I purchased this kit for a couple of uses. Living on the gulf coast in hurricane alley, this is a great kit to have available during the flooding and power outages after hurricanes and tropical events. I also do a lot of traveling to do off-roading in my 4-wheel drive and will carry this pack in my truck in the event of break-downs far away from "civilization" where there may be limited cell service.

I love that the contents are all contained in a handy backpack rather than just a box or small zip duffle bag. It is light-weight for the amount of supplies it contains and the products inside are of good quality and include all the essentials I was looking for. I'll be buying additional kits for my son's families so they are also prepared for the upcoming hurricane season!

Great Kit

Excellent starter kit with all the basics you need. The backpack itself is great and has plenty of room for additional supplies/clothes. Comes with food/water and some unique tools. Lightweight if you need to leave in a hurry as well. Definitely going to add to it but happy to have the essentials covered.

Basic Kit, Good Backpack

So this Earthquake Survival Kit…It’s got your basics inside of a roomy, durable backpack. It’s definitely good to have this on hand. We live in the Northern California mountains where earthquakes aren’t so much the worry as fires are. We’ve been evacuated twice in the past year and this is good to keep with your GoBags. It has water packets & small food bars that will get 2 people through 2 days maybe using sparingly. It’s got a whistle, compass, flashlight, first aid kit, warmers & shelter blankets, water purification tablets, fire starter, emergency radio, etc. The flashlight and radio require batteries that are not included so it’s a good idea to add some AA & AAA’a to your pack. The backpack itself is great. It’s roomy, has pockets on the front, padded straps on back, and is well-made. The Quake Kit sign is velcroed on in case you want to take it off for something else.
If there is more than one or two of you, you’re going to want to add more water and food packs/MRE’s. I would suggest adding more survival items to this pack. You never know what kind of situation you might end up in and when you do, you’re going to be glad you have a fully prepared and stocked pack.
I recommend getting this pack. Will you have to use it? Probably not. But you don’t want to be in a situation telling yourself “why didn’t I get a survival kit”.
